Who is behind the International Cup?

The Express Eventing International Cup is owned and managed by Tricorn Events Limited, a private company with considerable experience of equestrian event management. Tricorn Events' board of directors includes John Peace, a successful businessman and eventing enthusiast, and Stuart Buntine, an equestrian event management specialist, who has competed at international level.

The Tricorn team has experience at every level of the sport, both in the UK and internationally, and includes experts in all aspects of event management, many of them former competitors and all with a passion for eventing. Tricorn is also working with some of the world's leading names in course design, clothing and safety equipment to pioneer new developments in the sport. Tricorn's mission is to broaden the appeal of equestrianism through a combination of innovation, education and excellence.

Stuart Buntine is a former international event rider and has organised numerous equestrian events in Australia and the UK. Between 1986 and 1991, he competed at advanced level in all the major Australian horse trials and was shortlisted to represent his country on the Trans Tasman Team.

He began organising events in 1989 and was responsible for the Melbourne International Three Day Event and the Darlington Three Day Event, where he also designed the course. In 1991, Stuart moved from Australia to the UK to continue his riding career. He competed at many events, such as Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials, and went on to develop a popular series of competitions, including the prestigious Belton Horse Trials.

In 2004, Stuart became a Technical Advisor to the sport of eventing and has recently trained as an FEI Technical Delegate. He continues to develop new ideas for the sport to increase its appeal to a worldwide audience.

John Peace is a leading figure in the business world, who has developed a passion for the sport of eventing. He owns and breeds event horses at his home in Nottinghamshire with the help of his family. John's early career was in information technology, which led him to become a founding director of Experian, the global information services company, of which he is today Chairman.

He is also Chairman of Burberry, the international luxury brand, and Deputy Chairman of Standard Chartered. John's other roles include Chairman of the Board of Governors of Nottingham Trent University, Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Nottinghamshire and Chairman of The Work Foundation.
